To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

PlaySF isn't a game, but it is a commercial indie project about games. I hope the powers-that-be are not too upset that I announce its availability here.
PlaySF is actually a magazine, specifically about space and sci-fi games - no wizards, orcs or Nazis allowed (unless they are of the space variety). It's a digital magazine, which can be read on desktop or tablet (smartphone eventually), which allows us to keep the costs down and the price low. Currently it's only available through zinio.com or within the Zinio app (which is free from the Android Marketplace or the App Store).
You can preview the issue online here and if you like what you see a 6-issue subscription costs £9.40 / $14.95, or £1.85 / $2.95 for a single issue. (Current prices for single issue are £1.57 or $2.49, which is an error, so it's a good time to invest!).
Going forward we plan to really get behind the indie side of sci-fi gaming, so we'll be keeping an eye on the projects that are underway and will be reporting on them in future editions of the magazine.
