To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Found this project today while browsing indiedb. Looks good! Ace Combat meets Freelancer, sign me up!

Disclaimer: I don't actually know if this one is commercial or not, just assuming it would be. Looks high quality.
This game looks and feels absolutely great ! Thx for letting us know about it.
Will be interested to see what Slot6 becomes, I hope in the FPS component that they can change it a bit because you can definitely tell they are using the Unreal Engine.
Yea. :/ I think that's why we we're hesitant to use a game engine like Unreal. It's hard not to just see it as a mod of a well known engine.
Hey Sol Command. I checked out your site and that's really good stuff. Are all your models really free and available for download?
I wasn't able to find the link to download them, do I need to log in first or something?
Hey man. Yeah, most of them are available for download, only a few are exclusive to some games so feel free to use any models you wish from those available. Here's the download link: http://digitalbrilliance.org/SC/ . Btw, the download buttons on my blog are on the right of the page, below the buttons with facebook, twitter and others (screenshot).
Have fun.
Well I don't really want to hijack this thread, but do you think we could use some of these 3D models in our game Ensign? Your art style is exactly what I was looking for. I'd be happy to compensate in many beers as we start making a return.
Feel free to use any or all of them.
Now back to our regular "Slot5" program 😀
Certainly looks the biz from the vid
The game looks good, but I checked out some of their youtube videos and I guess it's not that far along yet. The moon or asteroid the player is walking around on is really just a quad you could walk off of.
Would be nice if the the combat allowed a 6 degrees of freedom movement, but it doesn't look like that's in the cards. So I gotta wonder what this newtonian physics thing is they are on about? Do they mean like ships will spin out of control if they crash into each other?
