To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

I started to get into Traveller just before home computers got going in a big way, then I sort of got distracted by PC games and then by online space games.. anyway having seen the Offline Space Gaming section I just had a quick search on google and found a few links and an interesting website http://www.travellerrpg.com/ anyone know about Traveller and the current state of the world/internet community? do online space gamers play it?
I’ am only familiar with the classic Traveller game but I think this is the one game which has defined what I would like to see in a video game.
According to old liar its gone through a number of name changes over last 30 odd years.

Also a vid about it.
As far as I can recall it, Twilight's Peak would make one hell of adventure game if it was made into a computer game.
Personally, I never saw "original" Traveller. However, there is a sub-community within GURPS (by Steve Jackson Games) that doodles with it: http://www.sjgames.com/traveller/
I came across Traveller AR, looks interesting.
Nice find TranZen
Will have to keep an eye on that, although that AR feature seems to nothing more than a gimmick
Looks like a another reason to get an ipod.
