To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Hey Everyone
I have found a few free tools out there and haven't been to please with responsiveness or realibility of some of the screen capture tools out there. What I am looking for is a nice tool to take screenshots with during gameplay (if the game itself doesn't have a tool). I noticed a lot of tools I had to play in windowed mode to use them or it couldn't capture the gameplay that I needed. So if you use something or can recommend some tools I could try it would be appreciated. Please leave links in this thread to your favorite tools.

Fraps is probably the best one, screen shots are free but you have to register to get more then a few seconds of video.
And here I thought fraps did only video... will download that this evening. I feel like a newb now 😳
