To all SSC Station occupants

Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.

Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Hi there people!

I used to own a C64 (with a FINAL CARTRIDGE III) and played Elite and Frontier (on an Amiga) HEAPS.

I loved pointing my ship out into the unknown and flooring it, drifting in limbo thru a nebula and navigating my way thru jump points to the outer reaches of the universe.

I still own the cartridge (for nostalgia reasons) and now I have FFED3D!

COOOOOOL work!

Thanks heaps.

Welcome BladeRunner

I too had a C64C and a Amiga and boy did I spend a lot of time on them. Wish I still had those machines today but they succumbed to age and died.

FFED3D is a great remake and the community is really supporting it with models and updates. The Elite Games crew that designs and maintains the code are great bunch. Check their english thread here: http://www.elite-games.ru/conference/vi ... hp?t=47373

Hi Bladerunner

Welcome to the SSC. I still have my Miggys but my C64 died a long time ago and like you a big Elite fan. Yes, FFE3D is quite good isn't it? Hopefully it will tide us all over until Elite IV finally arrives;)
