To all SSC Station occupants

Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.

Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

So, I decided to make this thread so we could all share our trading experience and knowledge, prices in systems, profitable trade runs etc etc

All costs, prices and profit are assumed to be per individual unit.

For me it's Epsilon Eridani - GJ 1601

Heading Out of Epsilon Eridani :

Narcotics, EE price $149.15,

GJ Buy Price: $175.84,

Profit (including fuel costs for the trip out): $25.71

Heading out of GJ 1061:

Robots: GJ Price: $61.74

EE Buy Price: 70.56

Profit (including fuel costs for the trip back: $7.88

Total Profit for one Return Trip: $33.59

The return trip from GJ 1601 isn't much, but its about the best you can get, I suggest that if you're a new player, you sell: The missles you get, the laser, your scanner and atmospheric shielding, you won't need to land on any planets, as there are 2 stations to choose from in Epsilon Eridani and 2 in GJ1601, this gives you more starting capital and more room for cargo thus more profit. I'd also suggest sticking with your Class 1 hypderdrive until you can afford a bigger ship, it takes 20 days approx each jump, but time isn't really an issue for cargo hauling (unless it's a mission one)

Now this is something worth doing! A Traders Guide To The Galaxy. 😎 However the game is still in flux at the moment so many things could change as development progresses and so a guide as such would have to be updated too. But yes, a good idea!
