To all SSC Station occupants

Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.

Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Presumed you mean crashed into another ship? Was the video any help? Any performance issue (like being too fast) with gamepad? Here you might find v102 beta patch a help.

Yeah, I do ask lots of questions

You're right it has generated a bit of interest. Not as much as spacesimcentral though.

Trust me on this Galaxias, put a proper link up and maybe a little about the game too. Remember your advertising your game, make it easy for people to get at it. Also glad you found the SSC helpful too. Oh, there is a beta patch? Good! I will try that too. As for the game pad, I don't use that mainly because I always played the original Elite with a keyboard still do in fact and Oolite too. Could give it a try though I suppose.

Thanks for your sound advice, Geraldine. When I can I shall prepare a new vid without jerky movements (not sure how yet - my PC is too slow I think). Show some cosmetic impovements, snatches of missions perhaps and an intro describing the game.

I tried the game, but without a gamepad, the title was unreasonably jerky. Its not really playable with a mouse and keyboard. I'll look around for a spare gamepad in the meantime. (Im sure I have one stashed away somewhere.)

Welcome to Galaxias Ironhound

I think by title you must mean screen directional movement?

A really useful key to know about is the damper key - CTRL. This reduces roll and pitch rate and ... with the latest patch ... speed too. There's a damper button using a gamepad too.

For keyboard players you can adjust delay and repeat rate from the Launchpad.

For mouse players a request has been made to make the right mouse button kill roll and picth and re-centre. This will be implemented in a new patch available shortly (within days)

Another update Galaxias?

Good, and a nice list of changes too. Very good idea to open up the demo version. Now people can really start to see your games features. But please think about the nav buoys at the docking way points?

Re: Nav bouys and docking. I have made a subtle little change which I believe is quite effective.

The target cross-hair changes and goes yellow when an object or ship is in target. I have extended that to inlucde waypoints. This gives a secondaty visual signal that you are "on target" and is suprisingly useful. Dunno why I didn't think of it before.

Good Galaxias

It's important that the game player gets feedback from the game. A changing cross-hair will help do that when you enter combat or starting a docking run.

I have created a couple of new videos. One intended to show more of the game's features and the other to replace the docking instructions video which will be removed from the website.

Well this is a bit embarrassing really .... 😳

Just one day after releasing v1.0.3 I finally found a solution to allow multiple simultaneous key presses to work.

Since I know there are keyboard users keen to have this I decided to release 104beta1 patch straight-away.

Sorry for English, I read well but write poorly, Google transalate helps a bit

I like this game. I spent hours with. I prefer to play with a gamepad

I did the mission colony and the planet is colonized but I'm not sure I have complete

They say there will be a lucrative business but there is no a space station so I can not dock?

I feel that I missed something!

Like the name reference. 😀

Don't think I'm giving too much away by advising you go to Aeusi2 first and get something to sell, It takes time to build a space station.

To Starlord:

I sent a message off-forum, in essence it said if you drop me your email address via support@jexea.co.uk I can send some text files. What system do you have?

To All:

Is anyone running on Wndows7? Yes, I know it's not mentioned as supported but in fact it will run if you install in WindowsXP compatibility mode .. that is you change the self-extracting exe file BEFORE installing ... afterwards is too late.

The reason I ask is that my testing has been limited to a rather low spec minimum windows7 system and so I don't have confidence to claim that it's supported.

About the mission colony: I went back to the system Aeusi and the space station was there.

After a little trade I have finished the mission. Thankyou.

I also did the mission planetoid and it is quite difficult even in easy mode .. after several attempts I succeeded

My advice is to approach near the planetoid. This is more efficient.

First I intall the latest version and I see no difference .. maybe later.

Thank you for having converted the saved missions for me - otherwise I would not install.

I hope it does not reoccur.

I wrote this note to say that the mission Dominion is great. This is my favorite.

The secret is to preserve the navy vessels. I played it several times and it unrolls never in the same way.

I have noticed something special about Erota in Beta Verde 2 sector. It is a good place to mine asteroids.

Also on the anarchy planets you get one good is always cheap
