To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Using your multi docking vessel, you can grow your ship by docking with abandoned and disabled modules. As the commander, use your ability to your own benefit in this game! But you should know, some modules, have secrets that no one should know...
The game exploits 2 game genres in one: an space shooter, and a third person shooter game.
TIP: Fighting's not always the answer, sometimes, running is your best defense 😉

Looks like it been inspired by Dead Space on the FPS side.
Just noticed that there is a download button, might give it a try out later on.
Hi! It is amazing Omega Carinae is here, I actually found this post from the contest page Omega Carinae GameDev Fort, although it was for the contest I had a lot of fun with it.
Nice! i love trying indie games, and this contest has a bunch of them! 😀
And this game looks great! Time to try it out 😀
This is looking good so far, will you be adding mouse sensitivity type controls to the launcher? Because I noticed when playing FPS portion that sometimes this was an issue and do you plan on continued development of Omega Carinae?
Hey Thanks!!!
We are going to keep on the development, as we obtained a lot of support from everyone, and we are going to try and publish the game into Steam Greenlight 😀
The settings menu, was left out because of time constraints, but we will surely add it now!
Also, the idea will be to improve:
- Story-telling
- Maybe add the concept of a permaDeath per episode?
- Add more enemies
- Improve the ones already in place
If this game gets a successful approach, then we will start working on the Second title, to see if our little project can become closer to an AAA game (we can dream, right? 😛 )
Thanks for the comments!!
