To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Yeah posted in the chat about the kickstarter to hopefully get a bit more interest, only need around $3k. And not knocking any kickstarter, but I have been seeing a lot of space game kickstarters not make it when I thought they would. Plus Sol Trader 2 website also has a purchase option too so who knows how many people purchased through that as well that could have been in the kickstarter total.
New update. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/852671098/sol-trader/posts/1386318 see the road map on Kickstarter.
Hi all,
I know I keep saying it, but thanks so much again for all your support for Sol Trader. I've had so much great feedback and love for the game concept and so many of you have enjoyed the preview demo I've put out. Despite it only being a cut down version of the game, and without a save option, I've heard reports of people have playing it for hours and having a great time! (If you haven't had a chance to play it you can watch the video walkthrough.)
Here's a little more insight into my thinking process for the next week, as the campaign draws to a close.
The "funded" plan
This is what will happen next if Sol Trader gets funded:
- INSIDER backers and above will receive access to a special forum on the Sol Trader forums where new builds will be posted as often as possible. The public demo will stop being updated.
- Backing levels will still be available to purchase on the website, but the prices will increase: the game pre-order price will go up to £15, the same as the expected retail price. INSIDER access will go up from £20 to £25.
- The higher pledge levels and rewards will continue to be available on the website until at least the end of the year.
I do have a Plan B if Sol Trader doesn't get funded, but it makes things much easier if it does: at the moment I'm hopeful that I can still make it! The campaign has got about 49 hours to go, and I'm at 77% funded. This is a great time to get the word out if you haven't already!

Awesome, thanks 🙂
There is indeed a Paypal/CC option on the website, but I've currently only taken £150 through it, so I don't think it'll make a difference in the end.

Good question: I'll be cross-posting Kickstarter updates to the news and announcements forum: http://forums.soltrader.net/?forum=467408
You can register and subscribe to the forum to get emailed about new updates.
Hope that helps!
Thanks
Chris
Will do. :good:
Couple of videos from Chris.
That destruction video is looking good and all of it was really smooth (action seemed fast) so looking good.
New update about the feature in the game.
Couple of nice short video which have nothing to do with spot lights.
Sol Trader has hit Steam, well for beta backers as I just been informed that I can download it now. for anyone not in the beta you will have to wait until the 6 of June http://store.steampowered.com/app/396680/ ( D-day).
Game now out on Steam early access.
Not had much of a chance to play it but from the brief look I have had of it , the game does have a more unusual spin the on the standard space trading game.
Gameplay video.
New series of gameplay videos.
Episode 3 up.
