To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Spaceopoly is a cross between the building dynamics of Simcity, property management and trading of Monopoly, and empire expansion components of Master of Orion set in a persistent multiplayer universe.
Game play allows the user to settle distant worlds, build thriving colonies, control vast stretches of space and make a fortune as an intergalactic space explorer. Spaceopoly will initially be released for iPhone and iPad.
MULTIPLAYER
Compete with hundreds of players on each server for control over individual planets and entire star systems or collaborate with your friends to build the most impressive Spaceopoly in the galaxy. Whether you choose to go it alone or team up with other players, it will be up to you to decide if you want to concentrate on building up productive and lush planets in your home star system or spread out your empire across the galaxy in search of adventure.
Spaceopoly multiplayer primarily focuses on cooperative play, so you don’t have to worry about rich and powerful players stomping all over your planets within minutes of joining the game. On the other hand, if you’re looking for a fight, join other players to overcome mutual threats to humanity and bask in the fame and glory that comes with saving our species.
PLANET COLONIZING
Settle new planets and improve them through terraforming to create more hospitable resource-producing environments. Build everything your colonists will need to survive and balance planetary health with your desire for astronomical profits.
GALAXY EXPLORATION
Warp across the galaxy to discover ancient relics and technologies, meet other explorers and overcome threats to your mighty Spaceopoly.
On your journey you will undoubtedly uncover rare minerals and lost blueprints from ancient civilizations that will help you in creating a powerful Spaceopoly.

Is Android development depending on how Ipad versions do? Because I would be very interested if this was going to be released on Android. Going to be getting a tablet shortly and wants Android instead of iOS.
Wow, looks fantastic. I love the visual style. Is there combat/fighting in this or is it just building and exploring?
@SSCAdmin thanks for your question, the game will originally be released on iPhone and iPad but we have plans to bring the game to the Android platform at a later date.
@DudeJackson thank you! The game is mainly focused on building up your planets and controlling star systems (aka: "spaceopolies") but we are working on an encounter system that will introduce cooperative battles that pit you and other players against things like planet eating worms.
