To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Here's a profitable trade route, especially if you need cash to buy the expensive equipment & ships. Must have a decent supply to begin with though (say around 400,000).
Buy any of the following items at Moore Trade Station - Fringe System.
Silver
Thorium
Ammartan Algae
Sleep Suppressors
Diamonds
Gold
And trade them to the Wallace Research Facility - Fringe System.
Made nearly 600,000 trading all these items in a few runs, then exited the system by the jump gate, returned and the items were back in their starting stations so you could resell them again. Know it's cheating but oh well 🙂 LOL
Thanks for the tip! I had given up on the idea of finding profitable trade routes until the trade system is updated. But you give me hope. Have you tried this run more than once? My fear is that the randomized commodity prices will make it tough to duplicate your success.
To be honest I've not seen any randomization at all of the trade system or any of the ship equipment either. I've reloaded the game multiple times and the prices have never changed. Restarted the main level quite a few times also and never seen a change in the prices of anything so the trade route I suggested should be active at any time of the game. I'm compiling a list of all the sale prices in all the stations (never bothered with the buy prices as you can check those when you get in the station etc and most items aren't available at every station to buy). I'll be using Excel to make the lists and making them available online at some point so you can work out trade routes using it (until the randomization comes into effect and actually works that is) 🙂 But other than buying better ships and better weapons money seems irrelevent in the game anyway and it's so difficult to find decent power cores to power the ships. I have a dreadnaught at the minute with a level 5 power core giving out 1300 power units, all weapons slots utilized and all extra slots filled with weapons (not at their max levels per slot) and I have around 200 power spare, if I had all the slots used to their max I'd have virtually 0 power for special abilities which kind of defeats the purpose. Not sure if there is a power gen level 5 that gives more power or not, haven't ran into one and I check every station I dock in.
Feltham Free Port - Tranquility System. Trade the following to Hamilton Shipyards - Tranquility Sytem for a huge profit (repeatable by leaving, re-entering the system):
Silver
Gold
Thorium
Diamonds
Uniglass
Multiops Droids
Heavy Robotics (first system I've found you can buy there and sell them elsewhere for a profit)

Welcome to the SSC, and like yourself, I too would like to know if there is any lucrative trade routes early on in the game as I have just got Star Point up and running at last.
