To all SSC Station occupants

Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.

Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

I really don't like fiddling around with new PC as past experience has usually leads to a disaster 😆 😳

I can't get into that Wither game.

Bought Sniper ghost warrior basically creep about in the jungle and shoot people in the head, shows it a console port as there's no lean key 😡 also it switches to a standard FPS game every couple of levels.

Batman Arkham Asylum not tried it yet.

Got two games for the PS2 Lego Indiana Jones and the Simpsons game.

Just picked up one of these PS2 thingies on Amibay and a pink one at that! <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//girl_crazy.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':girlcrazy:' /> <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//haha.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':haha:' /> .

Anyone have any recommendations game wise for it? Space Sim, Flight Sim, RPG and Adventures would be my choice, but which ones? I still have the Colony Wars games for the PS1 and hoping they will still work in this too

I got one of the older fat PS2 which has no problems playing PS1 games not sure about the slim ones.

Don't think that there are many space/flight sim on it and as you already have an XBox you probably will have them, I know there is a startrek game which come out on the PS2, which did not appear on the original XBox.

As for RPG/adventures there's plenty of JRPG on it,if you like them, Escape from monkey island come out on it along with a couple of other point&click adventures.

I try to keep any eye out for PS2 exclusives or ones which were not released on the XBox or I have not played.

Picked up a copy of Bully or Canis Canemedit as it says on the box, it a bit of a remake of the 8bit classic school daze by Rockstar.

Thanks for that Pinback <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//curtsey.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':curtsey:' />

I have been looking about Fleabay, there seems to be a lot of interesting games available. Have not found any space sims yet though. <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//icon_e_confused.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':?' />

Will do Pinback, but found a veritable bounty of PS2 games on Amazon. Its a lot better than messing around on Fleabay <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//girl_werewolf.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':girlwerewolf:' />

Jedi Starfighter incoming! <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//crazy_pilot.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':crazypilot:' />

<img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//huh.pn g"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> I bought those two for the PS2! Encounters is so so, fiddly in bits, but ok. Dropship is really good though, in fact one of the best games I have so far for the PS2, you will like it I am sure <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//biggrin.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Another game I got for it was Deus Ex. Well, I just wanted to see the PS2 version and so far its still good old Deus Ex but looks a wee bit better than the PC version. Music is enhanced a bit too in places. <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//cool.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

It can be a wee bit hard to track down but its out there and for a console port, it's still streets ahead of the XBox version of Invisible War <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//triniti.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':triniti:' />

Oooh look! There is some on Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Eidos-Deus-Ex-PS2/dp/B00005V12U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1342418506&sr=8-1

Steam is having sales on games this whole week, and I will probably go broke. But I bought Two Worlds I and II (Complete editions w/ all DLC) and I bought LA Noire (Complete) all for like $22 not too bad that's got to be over 130-150+ hours of game play.

Noticed that the X-Superbox is on sale for $9.99

I think that collectible one at £49.99 will be there for a long time. <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//laugh1.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Might have to get one <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//biggrin.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> the cheap ones that is.

Keep thinking about getting LA Noire as the boxed version can be picked up for under £20.00 now.

I've bought Civilization and UFO: ENEMY UNKNOWN recently. Both are for Amiga 1200/Amiga 4000. Unfortunately, in quite poor condition <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//sad.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

To the Moon from GOG but I didn't have the time to play it yet. I tried the Japanese version of Ni No Kuni for the PS3 yesterday but knowing not more than a handful of Japanese words, I even had to quit without saving <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//icon_e_biggrin.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

Can't believe that "To the Moon" is only 79 meg in size.

Civilization and UFO Excellent games I still have both for the Amiga.
