To all SSC Station occupants
Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.
Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

I finally found this old gem. At the time I thought it was a great game and playing it now its actually still a really simple, unique fun little game which I think would make a great remake. Thought it was spacey enough for here 😉

I have visions of multiplayer teams... 😎
I've played a lot of Spectrum games through the years but I don't remember that one. Looks very Ballblazer-y.
They need to remake Wing Commander's 3 and 4 with better cut scene videos. Oh, and Privateer too, come to that.
I think you can get better quality cut scenes for Wing commander 3&4 and Privateer 2 on CIC Wing Commander site.
Yes you can get better enhanced videos off WCIC, so try that.
I just want to see that remake of Tachyon The Fringe with the Freespace 2 Open engine completed 🙂
I think I found a game a while back that was a solid remake of Impossible Mission for the C64 and it looked good. I just never looked into the game and whether if it was for the PC, I think it was on Xbox? I played the heck out of Legacy of the Ancients and I would like a 3D version of that game.
I'd love to see Star Lancer re-made into a full MMO.
Besides Elite?.. Oh wait 😉
I'd like to see a remake of Millenium 2.1 / Deuteros. A blend of base/resource management and interplanetary expansion.
Dungeon Keeper because,....well.....just because!! :girlcrazy:
War for the Overworld looks very much like Dungeon Keeper
they also have a kickstarter going at the moment.
Forgot one sort of space themed - at least scifi: Outcast ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Outcast_ (video_game) ).
It was a great first person adventure game.
Mercenary, a quite old game also could be interesting.
Other styles: Tai Pan, ...
Besides Elite?.. Oh wait 😉

I played Millennium 2002 and Deuteros on AMIGA and I liked them, I consider these two games worthy for a remake und4er Windows. BTW, there is a remake of Millennium, but after a while playing, I have some graphic problems, which I tried to get resolved, but in vain.

That looks just Like Dungeon Keeper! :girlcrazy:

But can I afford another kickstarter? :girlwacko:
Mercenary desveres a mordern remake, you can download the emulated versions for the PC at http://mercenarysite.free.fr/merce.htm
Outcast is a great game but does suffer from bad controls, there's also a team working on doing a new version of that game.

I wouldn't mind a remake of Masters of Orion. Played countless hours on that one 😉
Great news regarding Outcast Pinback - thanks! I had no idea.
The controls could be a bit lacking, but the game atmosphere more than made up for it. Btw, anyone has ever played a little charm of a game named Little Big Adventure (If I remember correctly the american name was Relentless)?
MOO - well, I also loved that game and played it "to death". Despiste the follow-ups and the numerous 4x releases, so far imho none has captured the simplicity and addictiveness of MOO.
Changing game type and back to Earth, I'd welcome a Midtown Madness redone.
Theirs Free Orion but according to the main page it inspired by Master of Orion and is not a remake or clone of the game. http://www.freeorion.org/index.php/Main_Page
Remember playing the demo of Little Big Adventure on the PS1 and liking it but never got the game, got a PC dos copy some where but could never get it to work.
