To all SSC Station occupants

Thank you for the donations over the past year (2024), it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out how to migrate the forums to another community software (probably phpbb) but in the meantime I have updated the forum software to the latest version. SSC has been around a while so their is some very long time members here still using the site, thanks for making SSC home and sorry I haven't been as vocal as I should be in the forums I will try to improve my posting frequency.

Thank you again to all of the members that do take the time to donate a little, it helps keep this station functioning on the outer reaches of space.

Alpha 24 compatable ships

I have just finished updating and amending the ships found in P66 Models - one by one forum thread so that they are compatible with Alpha 24. I chose to do this to learn about a little about lua and how the ship scripts work and the modding structure. You can get them from here after they have been approved by SSC Admin ** http://spacesimcentr...ory/73-pioneer/ **

I separated each ship so that all you have to do is drop the zip file in your mods directory.

Updated Basic Ships

4_eagles.zip

adder.zip

asp_sparks.zip

boa.zip

caribou.zip

cobra1.zip

cobra3.zip

constrictor.zip

courier.zip

eye.zip

hammerhead.zip

ip_shuttle.zip

lanner.zip

lynx.zip

ships_viper-x.zip

sidewinder.zip

stardust.zip

talon.zip

New Ships

adc.zip

atomic1.zip

bloodrunner.zip

caiman.zip

defender1.zip

gelios.zip

gunboat.zip

hullcutter.zip

imp_shuttle.zip

mcu.zip

millfalc.zip

orion.zip

rapier.zip

r_41.zip

sepia.zip

shift.zip

supafighter.zip

terra.zip

x-wing.zip

and just for completeness I will include the typhoon alpha 24 i got off walterar and the YT1300 Han Solo with landing gear from Vuzz. you can not have the yt1300 han solo edition and the millfalc p66 edition installed at the same time as one will not work, so just remove the one you do not want.

*Note* I did not create any of these, i merely fiddled with the code and files to make them work with Alpha24 and the modding structure. if you object to them being posted here, let me know and I'll remove them.

You can just drop any of these zip files into your user/documents/mods folder to get them to work.

Please note that if you intend to use the caiman.zip you also need to use the mcu.zip as the camain also uses the mcu model.

I have tried and tested running all the files listed here all in the same mods directory at the same time without any problems. But please shout out if there is a mistake.

Also note that i have not made these as lean and efficient as they could be, i merely copied files, structures and edited .lua files to make these work as quickly as possible.

Hi, nice work <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//icon_e_smile.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> You can upload them by going to the downloads section of SSC, there you can upload larger files into the repository.

Thanks for the info s2odan, it's taken the best part of today to get them all sorted out. I'll be glad when I can read and understand lua quicker <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//icon_e_smile.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Just awaiting approval from SSC Admin now.

I am not a big "updater" as i do not fully understand lua language, as I mentioned above i did this to help learn lua and how the mods structure works. This does not mean I will continue to update all models for each evolution, but I can if nobody else does.
