Just completed 2 models:

And a group of very talented people made a short vid in which they used my "Morena Smuggler Ship" model:
Great models Sol Command. 😎 Like the front of the Dara.
The short film very well made apart from that jump from the two characters talking too the shot out.
Hey guys
Here's something really quick which I did mostly for fun. They are a couple of variations to my old MK110 model. Figured they could be used in games as upgrades, like "Type1" / "Type2" etc.
Just finished a new model. This one's a piece of furniture:
Really like that building you made Solcommand
Glad you liked it mate. Right now I'm working on an older WIP of mine, a ship which will have a few variations, more exactly you can add some "upgraded" modules to it, like better engines, better sensors, more gun mounts. The model itself is about 80% done, then comes the UV unwrapping and then the texture, so it will be a wile till it's done, especially given the New Year's Eve is around the corner 🙂 And yes it will be available for download.
Here's my new model called "Vandal" that you can download for free. This ship has several modules that you can choose from to make the model as you like it.
These models are absolutely fantastic!
Great work 🙂
Cheers.
Forgot to mention that all the variations use the same texture file so that's a plus for game usage.
Yeah reusing is great for texture memory usage.
Coming from from a mission... all dirty from re-entry heat 🙂
Rendered in 3drad game engine.
I see you're using all the engines at once, that must be the fastest ship in the galaxy hehe 🙂 Also you've made a minor change to the sensors placement, it's nice to see you made the ship just the way you like it. Have fun with it.
Here's a quick model of an acceleration gate:
And an edit for an older model of mine, a mining drone of sort ....
Just trying my hand at making models after such a long break.
Decided I'd do a building after I saw a pic with something similar.

That building is looking good Solcommand, what did you do on your hiatus from 3D modeling?
Your average day to day stuff and work related things.
Which is why I felt I needed a change so I kinda quit on most things pc-related and I got myself a bike, Honda Fireblade 919 from '98 and I've been riding it like there was no tomorrow. I traveled the country with it as much as my wallet allowed me, had a couple really-close-call experiences at 200+ km/h ... and that's about it. Now, winter is here so no more bike trips for me.
Time to do some models again I guess.
Your braver than I Solcommand, over 200kph on a bike is a rush plus a tad on the crazy side <img src="' http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//crazy.gi f"' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Nice looking bike and you never know you could always make a futuristic concept bike of your dreams ?
Hey hi there,
@SolCommand, I think I already mentioned it somewhere in this forum: Congratulations for the great modelling job. Although at MPL3D we look for somewhat scientific look for the spaceships that we enroll, many of your models have chances to go into our program, MPL3D Solar System. Well, in fact it is not needed that we incorporate them with the distribution, as any user can configure and pilot a custom spaceship into the simulation. I hope you find that interesting. It allows preview videos to not to have a black background.
Please have a look of the last model incorporated, spaceship credits go to Kenny Mitchell:

I'll keep you informed if we pack any of your models. Many thanks for sharing your brilliant job. That helps a lot to low budget projects like ours.
you could always make a futuristic concept bike of your dreams ?
Hehe, yeah I've been thinking about it and will do it sometime and most likely it will be a hoverbike.
MPL3D, I've seen your project before and I think it looks fantastic. I sure hope the project gets the recognition it deserves.
Right now I wish I didn't upgrade to Windows 8 Looks like many programs have problems with it, although they do work, they don't do it properly (yet). For example it takes me a minute to make a render that previously took me 10 seconds. Not to mention the all-present CTD.
This sucks
I have been hearing Win8 isn't a gaming platform and its a shame really, looks like Win7 will stay on the system for many years to come. I'm sure just like with ever other Windows release is that the Memory consumption keeps going up so that might be an issue as well. Can't wait to see that hoverbike.
Here's my latest WIP of a carrier / mothership. I reckon the model is about 80% completed now so it will be finished quite soon. After that, comes the texture, which will be ... really basic, cause we all know textures are my achilles' heel 🙂
So far the model has 31k polys and the finished ship will probably have a count of around 40k.
Great looking design 🙂
A little something made for our friend Onionman:

These are two new variations based on a CIWS gun:
